bad bad bad movie

I liked his first film and was looking forward to this. But I have to say this was one of the worst mainstream films I have ever seen. It is as if he took one of those poignant film ending scenes and just repeated it over and over for 100 minutes. It was wildly corny and pretentious, pointless and meaningless, not interesting, not funny. You can just see him writing the script and smiling to himself thinking he was writing clever dialogue with profound meaning, but we was deluding himself. It is an extremely bad film and I have gone from liking him to not liking him now. I can see why he could not get funding for this, why would anyone with half a brain want to sink a penny into such a trainwreck of a script.

When "Garden State" was made, it was considered a brilliant piece of filmmaking.

It's too bad that the same magic wasn't captured with this one. I suppose some of it has to do with everyone telling Mr. Braff that "Garden State" was... a brilliant piece of filmmaking.

I loved Garden State but yes this movie was, sadly, a pile of garbage. After he watched the final edit of this film, Zach Braf simply had to realize that this movie stunk. It just does. Cool soundtrack though.
