Ok, I didn't hate this film and I thought there were some funny bits!

But, and maybe this is because I am not American? but the reaction when Zack and Kate saw their daughter had shaved her hair was awful! It didn't even look bad but what was a kick in the teeth was that I am going bold and its nice to know that that's how people might react when someone shaves their hair.

Also if your problems in life are that your kids can't afford private school and have to slump to public school, whilst having expensive gadgets, nice wife, nice house and a swimming pool, AND that's just on one person's wage then you need bringing down a notch or two!

Zach has a networth of over $20,000,000.

The only reason he did a kickstarter campaign was so he could have full creative control and not have to pay back investors. So congrats on being taken advantage of (and it sounds like you weren't overly impressed with the film, which is why he had to go via the kickstarter route to begin with).

Yeah that reaction was bizarre to me, way to make someone feel even worse about a haircut gone wrong lol

Wilsiamo, thanks for helping. I would take it as a mark of pride that you helped get a film like this onto the screen. Garden State was brilliant and so was this one. Evidently critics have a lot to learn about "life affirming" versus "sappy," which this film wasn't in the least. In an era where movies like The Hangover pass for critical successes, it's marvelous movies that actually mean someone can still be made. And I agree - I hope Zack isn't put off from making more movies. He's at least as good as Wes Anderson is at doing Hal Ashby. Keep up the great work.

It f'n boggles my mind that everyday people donate money toward millionaires on kickstarter. What on God's green earth would possess someone to do this? Surely you something better to do with your hard-earned cash. Donate it to yourself. Or something life changing.
