When you write and produce and direct a film you can cast yourself in it.

Also, when you had a successful TV show.......you can cast yourself in the movie you are making.

I may not agree with the way he funded this film, but he was not miscast. This was HIS movie. He is the only one that could cast it correctly and he chose himself.

Maybe *you* should try and do your own movie throughout the whole process and then you can input.
