This film was much better than I expected. At first, I thought it was going to be nothing more than another annoying found footage flick. But it was actually quite enjoyable. The entire cast was surprisingly great. The location in France and in the catacombs was just awesome. The film wasn't really scary. It was more of a psychological thriller. Even though I can't exactly explain everything that went on in the film, it was still oddly enjoyable. I thought the ending was really trippy. I'm amazed how many times I've watched this movie. And every time I watch it, I pick up on some detail that I didn't notice before.

Same here. Definitely an enjoyable, trippy horror flick. The last twenty minutes seriously creeps me out, with the cloaked figures and statues coming to life. And I really love the ending--going down to come up, it was a very well-done sequence.

I beg the differ.

I had gone to a real volcanic prehistoric cave and saw this film not much after it and took a shit. The film was just like it and you can feel its demon present. When I saw went to the cave I didn't feel the fear I should've have just the prehistoric sense of it. When I saw this movie it went with it and reminded me of the scare it should've been. Very well done it was exactly how it was when in there and gaved me the spooks. To this day it scared me. Great film!
