This movie scared the *beep* out of me. I read the mixed reviews and was uncertain about watching it at first, but when I revisited the reviews later, they seemed to have improved so I checked it out not long ago. I didn't really have any expectations. But from early on, the movie had my attention. There's nothing particularly original about it, but for some reason it freaked me out more than I care to admit. Anyone else had a similar experience?
shareYes, and I think I know why. It was the sound. By the end, even my dog was frightened and didn't know why. Expert use of sound to create tension; it was both jarring and subliminal, just the right mix of ambient noise and plot-driven effects to keep the audience unbalanced.
shareYes. Freaked me right out. I have not felt this scared from a movie in a very long time. It actually gave me a panic attack lol. I think it was the setting of being underground and stuck with no way out plus the sounds...what a great movie.
