I just watched this and really enjoyed it. Didn't really rely on jump scares, did a good job of creating a creepy atmosphere, stayed exciting the entire time, and even had some interesting historical lore and philosophical ideas. For anyone else who liked this movie, do you have any recommendations for similar things? (not necessarily movies where they get trapped somewhere, but just movies where the things I mentioned take place)

Kill List by Ben Wheatley, would be the film I would recommend.

No historical lore or philosophical ideas there but this kinda reminded me of The Descent, which is a great movie.

I love this movie too. I went and saw it by myself one night on a whim and was totally absorbed by it. It was like a horror version of Indiana Jones or something, and the claustrophobia and scares were handled so well. Very oppressive atmosphere and I was legitimately on edge throughout a lot of it.

This is one of my favorite movies! I hate found footage but all is good in this movie, it's like a mix between Indiana Jones, The Descent and REC.

I enjoyed Kill List, it's a good movie too :)
