Aquaman was extremely overpowered

Took on every Justice League member and made them his bitch. Whenever he got injured he shook it off it mere seconds

He's perfectly powered. He's just usually underpowered due to leftover characterization from The Super Friends.

Can't stop the signal.

I think if Aquaman wanted to, he could be a pretty powerful threat. He probably holds back alot.

reply

Yeah he can survive the severe depths of the ocean, that alone makes him extremely powerful. I think he is just underrated as far as most peoples opinions go.

I thought he was portrayed very well in regards to his power set.

He's an extremely strong superhuman, and he can certainly go toe to toe against Wonder Woman, which he did in the movie

That's interesting. I am quite removed from my comic book days, but I thought the only person on earth that could beat wonder woman, was super man or perhaps Captain Marvel.

Speaking of which, is that canon that Marvel was composed of multiple children?

No, that was one of the changes to the timeline. In the main timeline he's a single boy named Billy Batson, who turns into the fully grown Captain Marvel when he says the word "Shazam." In the classic comics there was a whole "Marvel Family," each turning into a separate hero, so I wonder if the "Shazam kids" in Flashpoint Paradox are supposed to be a combination of these ideas.

What the person above me said. Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel, not the wizard that gave him his powers, also not to be confused with any of Marvel's Captain Marvels) is Billy Batson *spoiler* the kid that Wonder Woman killed. Also, there are a lot more powerful people than Wonder Woman. Just in Justice League there's Flash, Superman, Dr. Fate, Captain Atom, Martian Manhunter, and even Green Lantern as Ion, Parallax, or Spectre.

No, you just don't know anything about the character.

I wouldn't say he was OVERpowered. You have to remember everything in this timeline is shifted and slightly different. There's no reason those ripples couldn't have had other effects, for example making Wonder Woman weaker, and making Aquaman stronger. Besides his general toughness (usually explained as needing to survive deep-sea pressures indefinitely with no ill effect), he doesn't really have a powerset besides the marine communication, which is a bit lame. Makes sense they just dialed his toughness here up to 11 and had the man as a walking tank. I thought it was a pretty good iteration of him, though naturally the best animated version of Aquaman will always be from Justice League cartoon series, guy's a badass!

Aquaman is freaking awesome.
