Harsh, considering he's rarely been wrong. I'm still in season 2, but have also seen all of season 4. He's not nearly as dumb/impulsive as Ruzek.

Like someone else pointed out, he was actually right, and ended up saving this girl and the many others living in that place. So not sure what you mean, since even his initial intuition about Vince turned out to be right.
I see that some people are Halstead haters. Still not sure why - maybe because he seems to have more morals than the others and is the one to question Hank's motives and actions? How dare he question the beloved saint Hank!

I have seen people call him arrogant, and I have always said he's not. Then Jesse did a live q&a on facebook a couple months ago where he said something so true - that Jay is confident, but not arrogant, because he backs it up. Because he really is good at his job, because he has been so well trained, because he has a lot of experience and works hard and is dedicated. And yes, because he has morals and is not afraid to stand up when he thinks someone is wrong.
shareAll of the characters are arrogant to a certain extent. I agree with you that Halstead is not (very) arrogant. As a former Army Ranger, it makes sense that he's well trained and can take charge when needed, and also be the sharpshooter.
