First they kill Deafy, my favorite character, and tonight Rabbi, my second favorite character is killed by a friggin' tornado! WTF is wrong with these writers??

Felt the same! Loved Deafy's honesty and determination and Rabbi's protectiveness. Satchel is about the only character left to root for.

Him and Ethelrida. She (and her parents) are the only truly good people in the show. She's the moral center of the story.

I get that Ethelrida and her parents are supposed to be the good guys, but, unfortunately, she's not very likeable. That whole "I'm the smartest kid in the room and I know it" schtick gets a bit tiresome. Deafy was the only character to show her she didn't understand all the angles as well as she might've thought. That was a masterful scene.

It was a great example of "You're not quite as smart as you might think, kid." That scene also showed that Ethelrida had no trouble selling out Zelmare once she realized her own future might be in jeopardy. Of course, she should've given up Zelmare once Deafy laid out her crimes because that woman was as evil as a rattlesnake.
shareThat tornado looked as fake as f***! That was so cheesy them flying into the tornado. They could've been killed by flying debris. That would've been more realistic. Poorly executed scene.

I disagree. I think it was an amazing scene! It looked pretty real to me. I'm a storm chaser, and I've seen 30 of them.
