Don’t know that I’ve ever seen a character like him, nor that I believe one could really exist. I actually felt sympathy for his put-upon existence ... right up to the moment he murdered his wife and slept like a babe. Hard to believe such a weenie had that in him.
All the above. The character was interesting in that he'd appear sympathetic in one scene and like a complete monster the next. I laughed out loud when he shagged the wife of his former bully but I also wasn't sad when he met his demise.
shareI think he becomes completely unsympathetic when he sends his second wife to certain death. She was innocent and adored Lester (and also we know that back in Vegas, Lester was planning on cheating on her before he ran into Malvo). Before that, Lester just hurt people who had hurt him (although admittedly murdering your wife and framing your brother for that murder was a bit extreme considering they just verbally abused him).
