Two Great Shows that Didn't Return for 2016

The Leftovers and Fargo had exceptional second seasons in 2015 but did not return for 2016. Instead I have to wait over a year for the third seasons when they were supposed to premiere near the end of 2016! That being said, I love Carrie Coon and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Having them in a series together is like a dream come true, so the writing better be as good as the first season or at least surpass it. These women deserve the very best due to their talent!

Coincidentally, Carrie Coon is also the female lead in The Leftovers.

I got Stranger Things, which didn't live up to my expectations. Here's to hoping that Westworld does.

Fargo has to film in winter, so that means it can't air until spring 2017.
The leftovers started filming season 3 in May (last week of May). The first episode was shot at a house across the street from the house where I live.

I think they are off to Australia to film future episodes.

The air time lag from season 2 to season 3, of Fargo is the same as the time lag between season 1 and season 2.

It's too long for impatient people like me, but I guess that's show biz (and meteorology).

You also had to wait more than one year between the end of season 1 (ended June 2014) and the beginning of season 2 (began October 2015). That's 16 months between the end of one season and the beginning of the next.

Season 3 is set to begin sometime in the first part of 2017, which again would be about 16 or 17 months after the end of season 2 (which ended in December 2015).
