The True Smell Of American Hyprocrisy

When americans shoot a movie like this and name a dog after a forign country's president, showing him shatting himself etc,its freedom of speech but if it was north koreans shooting this movie and making fun of Obama, even one tenth of this movie's content would be more than enough to start another world wide intercontinental war...

Another seth rogen movie full of pure stupidity,he had far better movies in the early 2000's whatever has gotten to him,he needs to get it out and i am not talking about the metal butt-plug he inserted to himself in the movie

Notice:By American Hyprocrisy i dont mean american citizens i just mean the deeper capitalist idea that is hardwired to turn anything into money

The only people who have EVER started a "worldwide intercontinental war" were the Europeans and the Japanese. Remember WWI and WWII? Or maybe you're one of those brainwashed xenophobes who are convinced that Americans started both wars, just as some of you now believe that we are responsible for every stupid thing that happens on your shores. 

Both Kim Jong-Il and his kid have been openly threatening the United States yearly for well over 8 years with preemptive nuclear strikes, yet America never went to war. Go figure.

Genius America didn't start the Korean or Vietnam wars. They were actually started by other Koreans and Vietnamese first. That's why America and others went in the first place. They just got involved with them as other countries did. Thats a BIG difference.

The other two you are obviously correct. Although I was for Afghanistan. And actually that war is technically over--save for the 11,000 troops still there lol. Yeah we'll probably be back when that country goes to shyt again.

reply

Is there really that much of a difference? What you call the Vietnam war is what the Vietnamese refer to as the American war.

reply

Actually the Vietnam war was started by the French trying to hold it as a "colony". The United States intervened after the French got their asses handed to them by Soviet backed fighters. A lot going on there, but hey don't expect many to know history.

reply

Yeh, a war minded nation. always have to be involved in everywhere.

reply

You'd be happier if Americans didn't get involved? What would happen then? Maybe that Vietnam would fall to the Soviet ideology and transform itself to another sort of North Korea?

Look, i'm from Russia myself and technically i am expected to be a US hater. But even to me it's obvious that non-involvement is not always a good way. Plus, look at the countries that went through the US interventions. Most of them are relatively prosperous now, and the Korean case is a great example of that.

When you see thugs beating up a passerby on the street and you don't come to help - you're a coward and a bad person. If you see mischiefs and oppression of population by the terrorists or the dictators in another country and you intervene to help - you're an invader and a bad country. Go figure.

Japan, Germany, and South Korea are all great countries that would be absolute *beep* holes if it wasn't for the United States. South Korea would have been conquered by North Korea, Germany would have been occupied by the Soviets, and Japan would have had an incredibly difficult time rebuilding if it weren't for US occupation.

reply

British never get credit, like the French in the American Revolution... One thing seems to remain consistent throughout the last two centuries. Germany is a country of pretentious jerk-offs who preach eugenics, then have an unnatural proclivity towards "sh*t", "potty humor" and scat. It's a noted phenomenon in Germany.... So they are arrogant jerks who believe they are superior in every way or are quick to look the other way when a German tells them they are superior... Seems either extremely gullible or arrogant, and they enjoy their own feces... Hmm... Coincidence lol? Kinda half-joking, but truth is there too.

ALL groups, empires, kingdoms, etc, with the most power in the world's past continued expanding, and raided then absorbed territories, right down to the tribal level... Any other time in history America would have gone on after WWII to conquer the world, history will tell if Patton was right, so far thankfully he was wrong. The diversity of American people from countries everywhere and Its very young age prevented this, along with the emerging 'humanity' of people. The nuclear bomb at the time was like going back in history with modern weapons and NOT using them to become a king or something of the sort. Egyptians, Romans, Persians, The many Muslim Empires and Asian empires, Qin Dynasty, Mongolian empire... I could go on... All expanded through violence until defeat. Does America stick Its nose places it doesn't belong? Perhaps, but not nearly as often as you kids on the internet want to say. The predominant citation being the Middle East war, which was arguably a response to an act of war with limited knowledge and heightened emotions at the time... AI government may be millennia away if we last that long but it couldn't come sooner.. Can you imagine idiots like Hillary or Trump running this country, cause that's what it is.... Ill take a purely logic based Gov over them any day, thats in effect what presidents and powerful people do anyway, calculate decisions based on factors, and emotional factors... A machine could do this much better and consider everything and predict outcomes beyond the capacity of human thought while eliminating the medium of emotion, do you know how many millions of people have died over lover's quarrels or sex-based interests? I mentioned Genghis Khan... He may never have even gone to rule if it wasn't for his wife being captured or his father capturing a wife. The tale of Troy? could be fiction, but it was essentially ignited by lovers quarrels or broken hearts.

Human nature. You're telling me a couple hundred years changed that? Doubtfully.. The information superhighway, even back then they had phones which was immeasurably faster than the old 2-4 week messengers it used to take, with straightforward messages and things lost in translation without body language, direct communication, tone of voice, etc. If Genghis Khan had been able to call Muhammad II and talk about a trade route instead of Muhammad relying on "rumor" of Khans to make the decision that ultimately destroyed his empire (and life), the Khans may never have obliterated Khwarezem then continued onward. How can anyone disagree a more open dialogue wouldn't have changed a TON of history. Now, everything can be recorded and everybody can -and does- weigh in on things that would have been "worlds away" a few hundred years ago, and only known to rulers.... So more accountability exists. This has stayed the hand of or stopped many a would-be Khan or Hitler today, IMO. Ahh.. Technology.... Simultaneously saving and killing millions every year, lol... Strange.

People are gonna continue to kill eachother, new major wars will be fought with the keyboard, wonder if I'll see anything major in my lifetime...Sorry for the long post I get stuck on something and type really fast.
tl;dr: nothing to see here move on.

reply

[deleted]

oh god you must be a decade old tops...

And you're an idiot. Try to look up what "worldwide" and "intercontinental" means.

Or--better yet--don't use words you clearly don't understand.

The only "worldwide intercontinental" wars that have EVER been fought in the history of mankind were World War I and World War II, where more than two dozen countries spanning several continents were involved in the conflict. That's why they were called...wait for it...WORLD WAR I and WORLD WAR II and Vietnam, Afghanistan and Korea were called...wait for it...the VIETNAM, AFGHANISTAN and KOREAN war. And both World Wars were STARTED by the Europeans and inflamed even further by the Japanese in the second one.

Americans had squat to do with that, so to rant that Americans will start a "new worldwide intercontinental war" is laughable. The Europeans will start the next one, not Americans. Of course, when the Euros do start WW3, they'll rant and scream that the "yanks" caused it. Hell, Gorbachev has already started posting that line of bull already, screaming that the United States is pushing us towards WW3 because of how it's handling the Ukraine/Russia situation. Because, you know, Putin had NOTHING to do with any of that; the devil (the United States) made him do it.

That's why non-Americans love hating on Americans so much. After centuries upon centuries of warfare and conflict endemic to your regions, you guys no longer have to cop to the fact that you're mostly responsible for your own conflicts (some of them going back centuries). Just blame it all on the Americans. You were all wonderful, peace-loving humanitarians until the Americans came along and any conflict that breaks out in your region, the Americans caused it or conspired to make it happen. Gimme a break. 

BTW, it's ironic that you're attacking me for being a "decade old" when you don't even know the difference between a "worldwide intercontinental war" and small regional conflict between two countries. Apparently, your only knowledge of military history seems to conveniently be limited to a small handful of military operations that the US was involved in in the latter half of the 20th century and excludes WW1, WW2, and the dozens upon dozens of wars and invasions that were also launched by other nations after WW2. Did they teach you about all these other wars or did your college course in Anti-Americanism conveniently leave that all out?

Emojis=💩 Emoticons=

reply

I have never, in my life heard anyone claim that the US was responsible for WW1 or WW2 breaking out. It's well known that the US entered both wars late in the piece.

America's image of a war waging, trigger happy nation has nothing to do with either world wars. It's to do with the involvement in various other conflicts afterwards. I'm not going to pretend I understand the complexities of international conflict but I do know the the involvement in Vietnam was considered a shameful mess and the uprising of ISIS is in part due to the invasion of Iraq. It honestly made me feel a bit sick in the stomach to hear these events labelled as nothing more than small military operations. What a slap in the face to the victims and their families.

The assertion that Europeans will trigger a third world war is also rather odd. Western European nations may have been at war with one another for hundreds (thousands?) of years but they've had their s**t together now for some time. Given most now belong to the same economic union and share a currency it's doubtful that war will be breaking out in these regions anytime soon. You don't even need to show a passport when passing the borders between them.

reply

I wouldn't go around insulting people when you have no idea what you're talking about. The Korean war was started by the North Koreans. The second Indochina war was started by the French during the first Indochina war. And the war in Afghanistan was started by Al-Qaeda when they killed almost 3,000 innocent civilians during 9/11. The war in Iraq was a screw up for sure, even though they provoked us and we'd already fought against them in the Persian Gulf war when Saddam Hussein invaded and annexed Kuwait. But this is the only war for a hundred years that was started by the Americans, since the Philippine-American war. And even then, I'm not sure it counts as a "worldwide intercontinental war."

And by the by, I couldn't care less if the North Koreans shot the same movie making fun of Barack Obama. I might even find it within myself to laugh my a$$ off.

[deleted]

You are really dumb and stupid! I really feel sorry for you.

reply

@atomicgirl24-894-130281, yep. They started it. Uncle Sam finished it. Back-to-back world war champions baby!

reply

America has started many, many wars. It wasn't Europe or Japan who illegally and foolishly invaded and occupied Afghanistan and Iraq. It was not Europe or Japan who used nuclear weapons on the cities of Japan - the largest single war crimes ever committed.

North Korea does not have the means or inclination to attack the USA, perhaps unfortunately. If they did perhaps the USA would not be such a simpering bully.

Putin, another socialist tyrant, has nuclear weapons. When he invaded Ukraine the USA was obliged to go to the country's assistance, under the security guarantee which the USA gave Ukraine when it persuaded that country to give up its nuclear weapons. Obama was too weak and spineless to do anything. The USA reneged on its obligations. NATO must worry that Obama will also welsh on his commitments to NATO if the Russian's attacked.

The USA is a paper tiger. And like most schoolyard bullies, they are mortally afraid of those who challenge them or stand up to the harassment.

reply

I can't tell if you're for or against war. You don't want the US to start wars, yet you want them to start a war with Russia? And you only listed two wars America has started. But really, the rest of Europe should be stepping up to help the Ukraine long before America, if the Crimeans even want help.

There have been worse war crimes than the A bombs. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were bad, but there have been worse. Nanking for one. Worse than an atomic bomb would have been a land invasion of Japan. The bombs killed 120 thousand, and many thousands more from the fallout. The bombs were super secret plan B though. The general military planned for a land invasion with an estimated 10 million civilian casualties. Purple hearts given out today were made during WWII in anticipation of the invasion. We still have a 100k stockpile left. Japan is no joke and their military prowess during WWII cannot be denied. Nuclear weapons are devastating, but humans have caused more devastation without them. The air raids in Europe and Asia killed many more during WWII. Tokyo alone had 100k deaths. Keep in mind, this is in the 1940s. There was no precision bombing. That was the alternative you prefer?

I find it strange that people latch onto the atomic bombs. They think of cities as having millions of people, so millions must have died in the bombings right? It was much less than people think. The unluckiest man in the world experienced both bombs. He was treated after Hiroshima, then took a the train to Nagasaki and ate that one too. Tsutomu Yamaguchi was his name.

People would be far better off expanding their parameters to include other military operations. But they don't because they want to latch onto something so polarizing. They see it as easy propaganda. As an example: war crimes committed by Japan estimated 5+ million deaths. US A-Bombs, 120k; we'll even bump it up to 200k. Expand your scope and don't latch onto polarizing events in an attempt to appeal to people's sense of outrage. Others have died in US military operations in the pacific theater, but you don't give a crap about them.

North Korea most certainly has the inclination to attack America. It's strange to think otherwise; I don't think they've been shy about it. They're just incredibly outgunned. Hell, South Korea has more military expenditure than North Korea's entire GDP. NK are small potatoes. It definitely wouldn't be the little guy showing the schoolyard bully what's what. Also, NATO. Those guys you mentioned. SK could curbstomp NK by themselves. NK has zero power projection. If the US and NK find themselves at war, it'll be because NK attacked SK, not because NK attacked the US. So when you go around calling for NK to attack the US, you're really calling for the deaths of South Koreans. Super humanitarian.

Most nations have started wars. They've been on the right side and the wrong side, subjective as they are. Human history is littered with warfare. America is no worse than the vast majority of nations.

Despite your warmongering and bloodlust, no one wants a war with North Korea. No one wants a war with Russia. Russia isn't going to attack NATO, lulz. American citizens and citizens of the many European nations, including Russia, don't want war with each other. Let the media overdramatize the *beep* out of it if they want.

Like I said, North Korea is small potatoes. No one around them wants that war to kick off just because North Korea has a *beep* up Godking. You think China wants that? South Korea? Japan? Russia? The US? The US and China actually want good relations and it's been steadily getting better. NK could *beep* that up, and even China is fed up with their crap. It'll be good when the time comes that America and China are as close as America and Britain.

reply

It was you who suggested that the Americans started the world wars, idiot.

There is nothing subtle about a "comedy" ridiculing another country's leader, and featuring his assassination. It is tantamount to a declaration of war on North Korea. Sony was lucky that the only attack, so far, has been cyber.

I would love to see a North Korean movie lampooning Obama, and featuring his assassination. Incidentally, so would many Americans.

reply

Private citizens making a film is not tantamount to a declaration of war. Don't be silly. You're saying it's okay and legitimate for people to kill each other over a movie. Holy balls, lady. War declarations are a bit more serious than making a movie.

North Korea is free to make the same film about American leaders. Who gives a crap? No one criticizes and ridicules the US government more than Americans, haha. Many Supreme Court decisions over the years have reaffirmed this right and we've taken full advantage of it.

reply

hm , your nickname is atomicgirl , so don't ever forget about the atomic bomb who caused the biggest destruction in Japan 70 years ago...American didnt start this war for sure , but they ended it with the most triumphing (for them) way. The world should be afraid of them from now on etc.
Plus what the others mentioned about Vietnam,Iraq,Afghanistan etc.

reply

Actually, America is Europeans, who stole and massacred an entire continent, so, f u mothertrucker.......

Oh what a day. What a lovely day!

reply

Jesus, why do people make such stupid hyperbole. America is a country where people have made Obama dolls that they hung in their front yard and been shot on the news. None of those people have ever went to jail or disappeared.

No one in America is going to go to fckin war over a country because they made a film about killing the president. Where do people get these crazy ideas??? North Korea has made propoganda videos showing them striking America. Its on Youtube, that American website. No one takes it seriously nor care.

Would everyone be happy about it, of course not, but the worse that will happen is they simply wouldnt see it. I'm an Obama supporter and would gladly watch it because a North Korean film trying to make a movie set in America would be comedy gold lol. So no, no one is going to go to war over it. Its beyond silly to assume that.

reply

You make a lot of assumptions.

First, you assume the posters heritage is British as if everyone in America is of British ancestry.

Second, you assume Americans would care if another country made a film about an assassination. Then again, you've already been proven wrong on this point because it's been done and no war was started.

Another point you're trying to make is that America would start "another international world war". America has never started a world war, ever. They have started wars with single countries but not a world war. You should brush up on your history.

You broad generalization of America is a tired argument. Personally, I would be fine with the U.S. telling the world to f-off when there is a disaster (tsunami in india), mass murder (Saddam), or play Earth police. everyone is so ready to condemn the actions of america but won't hesitate to ask for help when needed. I don't know where you live but chances are that the U.S. has helped the country at the expense of greater national debt to its own citizens. We have enough problems without try to help other places.

As I said in my OP, people have made Obama dolls and hung them in their yards...no one goes to jail for it. You have EVERY right to hate it, but nothing illegal about it. In North Korea, you can get sent to jail JUST for speaking against the government. People like the OP have no idea what the hell they are talking about. They are comparing apples with oranges and don't remotely understand what Freedom of Speech means in America. But sadly that's a lot of people on these boards.

Well, you might not go to jail for it YET. But just say one bad thing about Obama and you're labeled a racist. At least Bush knew how many states there are. But then, he was born here.

Not that being labeled racist is anywhere near as bad as being sent to the gulag.

Again that's called Freedom of Speech! People can call you whatever they want. You have the right to call them whatever you want right back, neither of you will wind up in jail for it.

And Obama was born in America. See, you exercised your Freedom of Speech to sound like an idiotic birther and suggest the Columbia and Harvard educated lawyer is now stupid who somehow doesnt know there are 50 states. And no one is taking you to jail over it either. Great country, huh?

I suppose it could be claimed that a man who said he'd visited 57 states, actually knows that there are only 50. And maybe Al Gore really did create the Internet. It's also possible that anyone who believes either of those claims might just believe anything they are told. Because that's much easier than thinking for themselves.

No, an actual quote, verbatim.

According to him he's has one more to visit. He probably hasn't visited it yet though, since it doesn't exist.

Al Gore said, "I took the initiative in creating the Internet." That's verbatim.

No one person created the Internet. It started with the invention of the modem, enabling two computers to communicate over phone lines. That led to individual bulletin boards.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet#History

Al Gore was a D student who didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

This from wikipedia

he did not do well in science classes in college, and avoided taking math.[18] His grades during his first two years put him in the lower one-fifth of the class. During his sophomore year, he reportedly spent much of his time watching television, shooting pool, and occasionally smoking marijuana

I beg to differ. I don't have an opinion on the OP. I think the OP is full of nonsense. BUT, if you say something to someone and that person considers what you said abusive, they can actually get you in trouble.

but if it was north koreans shooting this movie and making fun of Obama, even one tenth of this movie's content would be more than enough to start another world wide intercontinental war...
