I so badly wanted this to work. But....

I really wanted this show to work, I found the dialogue really cheesy and at stages laughable. David Schwimmer was abysmal to say the least.

I'm really surprised it did so well at the Emmy's, I thought it was very average that wasted a great opportunity to really tackle the blatant miscarriage of justice.

A lot of people missed the fact that it was an odd mixture of drama with camp. I had to watch several episodes to figure out that's what they were doing. At first I was just confused.

I get you, that's how I found it. But that's not how they marketed it , or how the Emmy awards judged it.

reply

No, it's not how it was marketed, hence the confusion. Everyone thought it was a pretty straight-up drama. All except, WTH IS TRAVOLTA DOING?? That's what first caught my attention anyway.

I didn't watch the Emmys. How did they judge it?

reply

Public perception and money thrown at the particular production company. And a new politically correct Emmy Academy.
