It means well, but misses it's mark

First off, the movie isn't bad. It's a fun little movie, but it could've been better. The biggest problem with the movie is the comedy. It's not as funny as it could've been. This is the kind of movie where someone who understands comedy and can write comedy could've taken the script and elevated it. There are funny moments, but the dialogue was pretty bad at times and if someone funny could've punched up tne script, it would've improved the movie. What happens if, the director relied on improv to make the script funnier and the actors just resort to swearing or being extra raunchy, which comes off lazy. The movie is a great, funny idea. But the writing isn't on par to the cleverness of the idea.
