... get to the scene where the blond turns into a beaver/zombie and think this just went from cheesy to really *beep* bad? I thought it was going to be a dream sequence but they kept going with it hahaha

shareNope. I felt the complete opposite. I thought it was a stroke of genius to have those infected with "zombieism" to turn into beavers. Better still was the zombeareaver that shows up later.

Since humans could be infected, I was thinking that a "Night of the Living Dead" type ending (a survivor is accidentally mistaken for a zombie, and shot. Then dragged towards the waiting bonfire with meathooks...) ...or it COULD of ended it when Zoe was visciously killing Mary in the middle of the road(freeze frame of her as she is about to bring the ax down yet again, with echo put on her vocalization). yeah, I've watched FAR TOO MANY 1960/70s horror movies. The upbeat song at the end was rather nice.
