A ridiculous criticism of the VM movie

I was reading an article about movies that came out in 2014, and Veronica Mars was mentioned. One of the criticisms of the movie was that the movie was shot so darkly that it was hard to see what was going on. Um, what? I've watched the movie dozens of times and have never had a problem with viewing any of the scenes, even ones that take place in dark settings. I think the criticism is a thinly veiled dig at how the movie was funded and that the budget was relatively low.

The movie was pretty dark. I don't usually care about such things but I did comment on how dark it looked, especially the scenes at the reunion and the karaoke bar. I had to do a double take a few times to see who was in the scene.
