So I'm not a follower of this show,but read up after watching the movie.If Dick encouraged his brother to rape veronica,why is he still free or never went to jail and why is she cool with Logan having a dude who encouraged her rape to still be his friend? Am I missing something?

How exactly did Logan get lots of people raped? Are you talking about the Mercer thing? Because it's not like he had any idea about that and couldn't really be expected to.

shareIt's not illegal to encourage rape, or any other crime, in a general way. Bringing the unconscious victim into a room with actual rapist and goading him to do it is being an accessory before the fact.
Dick got away with it because he was rich, but more importantly because Veronica never pressed charges after she found out Cassidy had done it.

First time I watched this, I thought of him in similar way, although my main beef with him was not that he was rape enabler, but rape "attempter". he clearly slipped GHB to his then GF who then unknowingly diverted it to Veronica. I doubt he was trying to drug his own gf cause she wouldn't shut up - he meant to rape her.
Compared to that telling someone "do it, just do it" hardly seems the crime of the century. It's not as if he pointed a gun to little brother's head and made him rape away. We've seen him provoke his little brother in similar manner again and again throughout the series. Hey, he's a Dick, but his bro was the rapist.
Anyhow, if V was to blame D for rape, she'd also have to blame Logan, after all, Logan supplied D with GHB, and has knowingly drugged Duncan.
Now on second watch, I was kinda surprised how underwhelming his evilness seemed. He was named Dick for a reason. Otherwise he'd be called Nefario.
