The Trainspotting sequel's title should have some native Scottish character and should also capture the sordid back-alley post-pub tryst that is undoubtedly what these characters' lives today resemble. Ergo, my suggestion:

I would've went with the title of the actual 2nd book : Porno.

The producers will have insisted that Trainspotting be in the title.
That leaves you with very few options and, like you said, Trainspotting 2 is just boring.
However, aside from the almighty 'T2' from 1991 we also have the T2 tea company. They also use orange backgrounds on some of their tea so it will be interesting how they've worked that one out!
T2 (the company) might end up doing quite well out of it!!
If it were me (and it's not!) I would have done something like they did on the second soundtrack for the first film: Trainspotting #2.
Essentially it's plain old 'Trainspotting 2' but the hashtag might just make it 'interesting' enough to market it.
An orange poster with just a '#2' on it?
Anyway, it's a strange title either way but it was probably the best they were ever going to get a boardroom full of suits to agree on!
