Second season?

So doing some research, it looks like Playing House is getting about 300,000 viewers shy of 1 million on new episodes. Sirens averaged over 1 million for its entire run, that show I kind of like, but it's nothing special and it's hard to get in to. Playing House though is probably my favorite comedy since Happy Endings went off the air. Judging by these ratings it would seem that Sirens would get a second season renewal and Playing House would be canceled, but does anyone know if this show gains viewers at all with DVR playback? Do you think this show is for sure going to get canceled, or do you think there could be a decent shot for a second season?

This show doesn't look too expensive to make. They aren't blowing cars up or travelling to exotic locations. I bet cost of production that matters a lot even if ratings are low.

I asked Lennon Parnam this last night on Twitter and she said they haven't heard anything from USA as to renewal.

I still can't believe that Happy Endings was cancelled. The characters on that show were wonderful and each was cast great. None of the actors are as good in their new shows, as they were in Happy Endings.

I know! Adam Pally on Mindy Project and Damon Wayans Jr on New Girl aren't as good as on Happy Endings, but I blame that on the bad writing and their characters being pretty shoddy.
