ep. 5 - 'Drumline'

Guest character "CJ", the sometimes clueless slacker, gets all the good lines this week:

"So I'm reading a book by that robot Stephen Hawking . . ."

" . . . and I'm like 'Philip, I don't understand why you need the rent money EVERY month."

"STOLEN!"

It was also nice to see that Fred Savage was directing this episode, since he was the ladies' director (their only one, in fact) on their undeservedly short-lived "Best Friends Forever."

I have a feeling those lines were improvised by Jason Mantzoukas. He's known to do that in pretty much all the comedies he's appeared in. He's hilarious. He's also been friends with Jessica and Lennon for a really long time.

He was great in Parks & Rec.

I'm watching this episode right now- for like the 6th time! Love it! I hear something new every time! Great show and cast!

Love Jason Mantzoukas. He can be playing someone as crude or obnoxious as possible (like his character Rafi on The League), but I still find him strangely likable. He's great on his podcast "How Did This Get Made?" and I know there was at least one episode they did with Jessica as a guest.
