So many inconsistencies with the protection.

Seethrough newspaper on car windows works.
Semi-seethrough rag clothes on eyes works.
Semi-seethrough tree branches/leaves climbers on glass works

Yet you die from looking at an eternal monitor video-feed?

Also why would none of them try sunglasses.

I haven't seen it, but based on what I do know, it might come down to what the "person looking" believes will or won't work.

This would also explain why some people are immune... They just don't believe it.
