BEST acting ever when.......

When Armis tells his buddies he's the father of the Dauphin. Everyone from Hugo Speer(Treville ) incredulous look of total disbelief, to Luke Pasqualino (D'Artagnan) stupefy look....Howard Charles (Porthos) wanting to kick his @ss to Tom Burke(Athos) trying to calmly help break the news to everyone. GREAT scene! Then you have Santiago Cabrera(Armis) look of ,"do I REALLY have to fess up to this? I can't believe I have to do this." SO much was capture in that scene with the looks on these actors faces. WAS great!

When athos says "there's more" I was laughing so hard we had to pause it and replay it!!!! And when he said "and still more"..... I had to wait for a few minutes before continuing....

Tom Burke's comic timing is second to none. Yet another reason why Athos is my favourite character!!

They WERE all so great...LOL I mean Hugo Speer was so friggin real. The look of total disbelief. And Luke Pasqualino disappointment. Of course Tom Burke's telling them......ever so gently. They were all so great. It was one of those great TV moments....when great writing and actors come together. Mind you I saw this when it came out but I was re-watching it and was like. That's great stuff. I have to say I had to re-watch it a couple of times cause I wanted to really take in what everyone was really portraying. That and is so friggin funny.

Aramis: My parents always hoped that I end up in a place like this.
Athos: They wanted you to become a nun?

Best response ever, and he was under gun-fire!

I loved that scene, and the acting.

Aramis looked like someone who wished the ground would swallow him up, which is understandable. He created some serious mess there, LOL. But he accepted his friends reactions without trying to defend himself, which I hope means that he admitted that he made a huge mistake.

As for Athos, he is a master in keeping it together. I love it when he looses control sometimes, it only shows how horrible the situation is, like when he found out about Aramis and the queen. He let it out, and then he went back to being calm, and later told their friends that what happened happened. I am happy that he didn't judge Aramis, but then again, Aramis is not the only one who stops thinking when it comes to the matters of the heart, since Athos is in love with a psychopath criminal and he just can't let go. Seriously, what's wrong with those two?

My response to D'Artagnan's response was: 'really? look who's talking'. I know that Constance is not the queen, but she still was a married women when he was chasing her. And he didn't care about her reputation.

I love how Porthos reacted, he wanted to punch Aramis and then hugged him, it shows how worried he was about his friend.

And the Captain had no right to blame Athos. It's not like Aramis would go and ask for Athos' permission. Athos was right when he told Aramis that both of them would hang for what happened.

It was such a serious situation, but, so incredibly, unashamedly funny. So many different reactions, but, so perfectly timed. Tom Burke has such good comic and dramatic timing. The five actors work so well together and have such good affection between them
