Divided We Stand - STC's poor man's version of The Red Badge Of Courage

What happens when you mix Stephen Crane's The Red Badge Of Courage, the Space:1999 episode 'Missing Link', a recreation of a scene from ACT One of The City On The Edge Of Forever, the elements of TNG third season premiere concerning Nanites, the episode The inner Light and tapestry?

Unless this was a prequel episode to that NG episode about the Nanites, you come up with a MAJOR dud of an episode entitled 'Divided We Stand'.

Mark Cushman obviously stole those elements, put them in the STC blender, and came out with a bad concoction such as this.

Basically, the episode concerns the following: While discovering the old Earth space probe known as Friendship 3, Kirk and McCoy are trapped in time and what seams to be the United States Civil War, after an alien computer virus/infestation invades and threatens the Enterprise. Kirk and McCoy are simultaneously infected as well. Soon, it becomes a race against time to save Kirk, McCoy, and the Enterprise from certain doom.

Apparently, Vic Mignogna is ripping off(like everything else)the idea of an original series writer writing an episode for a fan film series. Something that Phase II has done in the past.

And judging by the execution of this episode, Mignogna, Cushman, and the STC company miscalculated and failed miserably.

It still amazes me why CBS/Paramount hasn't clamped down on fan films in general. Particularly STC.

Don't waste your breath on this latest insult to Star Trek's integrity. It is not worth the eye-sore.

Obviously, Mark Cushman couldn't come up with an original idea. For shame, for shame!

Even Michelle Specht's character only has a cameo. Must be trouble in paradise between her and Vic Mignogna.
