Devided we Stand and the Borg?!

Is it me or were the show runners trying to say this might be a origin story for the Borg? Lots of things point me in that direction. 1. The story is about slaves. (Borg are slaves in a sence)
2. United we stand. Borg are more powerful united.
3. The nanites are attracted to both organic and inorganic life forms.
4. The nanites look like Borg ships.
And more... thoughts?

Kirk and the Enterprise crew never encountered the Borg in the official Star Trek Canon.

They never had a halo-deck either but...

They didn't encounter the Borg. They encountered some weird nanites, and never had any reason to connect them to the Borg. In fact, its possible that by sending them into the organic cyborg arm, they unintentionally *created* the Borg. ;)

A hologram rec room was always in the TOS plans and was in fact seen on an episode of TAS. The Hologram Room shown in S04E01 was intangible and not running complex scenarios, and when seen in S04E04, it was just used to create backdrops for Kirk to deal with his hallucinations. This isn't the TNG Holodeck by ANY stretch.

They clearly showed it wasn't like TNG Holodeck. The hologram had no substance. It was supposed to be a precursor. I belive the even talk about its devlopment on the Enterprise series, if I remember right.
As far as this being some kind of Borg orgin, that wouldn't make sense. For one, they started off as a organic species, not as nanites. In the movie First Contact the Queen says something about them starting as weak and later evolving by adding synthetic. Also the timeline. They talk about the Borg having had been around for thousands of years begining originating from the Delta Quadrant. Also in First Contact, the Borg on the Enterprise try to communicate with the Borg in that time in the Delta Quadrant, that being 200 years before the timeline of this show.

Yes, I would say that it was a hidden easter egg, and that these things are some type of TOS precurser to the Borg.
