Importance of diversity in films

I've seen a lot of commentary about the film 'whitewashing' Bruce Lee, but in fairness, the inclusion of white people helps to maintain diversity within a predominantly East Asian cast. My main disappointment was that there weren't enough black people or women in prominent roles; Hollywood really needs to get its act together.

Not when the story is about the life of Bruce Lee and he is presented as secondary characters. The story is about this white guy's view of BL. BL becomes the object of the story that he should be the subject of.

You're an idiot... Why don't you do us all a favor and kick your own dumb ass.

And yet white movies have no problem never including Asians in their movies unless he is an asexual joke or exotic Asian prostitute who only goes for the white guy. Yeah that's diversity.

Me fail English? But, that's unpossible.

Don't worry about the others who have replied to your comment. They're obviously idiots who are unable to count. Most of the cast is Asian. They also don't know what whitewashing means either. I completely agree with your opinion, however.

welsh dragon:
You got that backwards, dear. Diversity means including people of color to help maintain diversity within an all-white cast, which.let's be real is usually the norm in Hollywood.
