I was sad but...(spoiler)

I was really sad that Ron died. I realize he was a real person and I wish he would've made it so he could be there for his wife and daughter. But in a way I think it made it a better movie that he didn't. It's definitely one I won't forget. At first I figured a few of the side characters would die but the 2 main characters as well as both woman climbers would make it like in most movies. That Ron would go on this impossible against-all-odds trek down the mountain and survive and live happily ever after. Though that's what I wanted to happen, for me that would have made it a typical forgettable movie. But the fact that the great guy who I was rooting for to make it didn't, the sad reality of what actually happened will be forever in my mind and heart.
