I don't get it. You can see why this film had such a big budget. The topic is so current, great cast, locations, story, characters, director and visuals.
Yet why do critics/people rave about Mr Robot and completely pan this? I mean, Evil Corp? come on.

shareGreat cast is pretty debatable. I thought Leehom Wang really stood out as having done a great job and that most of the rest either felt miscast, mediocre or backgrounded. I would have liked Koster on screen with more actual dialogue and really hundreds of choices would have been more fitting than Hemsworth.
shareI haven't seen the movie, but I just gotta say, I finally gave in to the Mr. Robot curiosity two weeks ago, it's right up my alley, and I found it really dull. Just talking about the pilot episode.
It felt so artificial, it was trying too hard, the actor was a little annoying but his character even moreso. It wasn't a bad pilot, just didn't give me a single reason to continue.
I read reviews that mention how the season really goes downhill at episode 3, so I'm not even going to bother trying #2. One is enough for me.
As for Blackhat, it sounds like it might be good for some unintended humor.
