Sorry it's in french (but it's an english/french production after all  ).

It's from the channel website who broadcast the show in france :

Le synopsis de la saison 2 :
Un mystérieux accident d’avion de ligne au-dessus de la Manche. Aucun survivant. Élise Wassermann et Karl Roebuck sont chargés de l’enquête côté français et britannique. Le duo, qui pensait avoir tourné la page sur les émotions et tribulations de l’affaire précédente, doit à nouveau faire équipe. L’enquête promet de mettre leur relation à rude épreuve.

Ok I will try to translate :

A mysterious airliner crash above the English Channel. No survivors. Elise Wassermann and Karl Roebuck are in charge of the investigation for French and English side. The duo who thought turned the page about the emotions and tribulations from the precedent case must team up again. The investigation promise to testing severly their relationship.

Plane crash sounds different though

Well yeah. Because in the original its a bridge... and it has a ship that crashes. This version has a tunnel, not a bridge. So they change it from a ship crashing to a plane crashing. Hardly that different. Minor details
