Will season 2 be the same as the original?

Or will it follow what the U.S. did and create its own storyline for season 2? I hope it has its own storyline.

I heard the tunnel 2 is about a plane crash in the English channel. So it'll be different. I saw the shows you've seen. I think you would like Boardwalk Empire. That show is great

Thanks for the advice! Although the plane crash might not actually be different. Because in the original it started with a ship crashing into the bridge. And since this version has a tunnel instead of a bridge, it sounds like it could be an adaptation

I really liked Boardwalk Empire. You have seen alot. You haven't seen Deadwood or Sopranos ? Both great. Jack Taylor series with Iain Glen were good. Really like Dillane alot he was in a series called Hunted which I liked and also played Thomas Jefferson in John Adams. Kings in Grass Castles was wonderful as well.

Hunted was probably my most favorite short lived tv show. I was really upset when they canceled it :( I could see myself watching The Sopranos. I just have a lot on my list before I start adding anything new. Especially something with so many seasons.

Wow you've seen alot ! I loved Hunted too. I think you would like John Adams. The last episode is sad but overall it was great. House of Cards is great as well.

Maybe they can do that in a season 3.

For example:

1 of the Ferries going from Calais to Dover ends up with an engine problem in the middle of the canal, where it EXPLODES, killing all 1000 passengers on board.

This will be the biggest case for our 2 heroes to solve ;)!

I just listened a podcast from a french blog with weekly tv show reviews and the three critics say the season two has his own story and "finally Tunnel is its own show now". Apparently they weren't fan of the first season from the original (too copy past or like they say it was annoying to constantly compared the two of them) and they weren't fan of Clémence Poésy either. They didn't dislike everything in that remake but... They seems to appreciate this new season much more, they say it's quite good. One of the critics has already seen all the episodes (lucky dude) and he is enthusiast about it, he also praise Stephen Dillane acting (very good actor, very sincere). Next week the scriptwriter will come to discuss with them.

I recall reading something this time last year when they announced Series 2 that it was going be an entirely new storyline.

It's probably also worth pointing out that if they did want to follow the original Series 2 then they would probably need to cut quite a lot of the plot out.

Episodes of Bron Broen are close to 15m longer and 'Debris' also has 2 episodes less so there will be a difference in running times of over 3 and half hours
