Are the scriptwriters underestimating the audience?
Just what took Elise and Karl to Brittle Bay? Osmosis?
Or was a scene dropped?
And why are members of the public portrayed as being so dumb?
Surely anyone with half a brain would contact the police and stay well away from what she obviously thinks is a suspicious boat.?
A mystery, indeed!
It was a bit ludicrous, in spite of the mobile phone track 'n all.
They did track the phone on the trace to within a 10 mile radius, and the teams were dispatched to search all the "suspicious" boats and docks within that 10 mile radius.
But really?
Karl phones into the office to say something like "We are just inside the 10 mile radius" when he parks at the Brittle Bay marina.
Then the next thing we see is Elise closing in on the boat in question?
Guess needle in a haystack within 10 mile radius in The Tunnel World means drive straight from office to within 50 feet of the suspect.
