I'm feeling a little bittersweet I am glad we are getting another series and that it hasn't cancelled due to Brexit as some feared. However I am a little sad it is ending Karl and Elise are one of the best TV detectives double acts and I'm going to miss them.

I will miss them too. They have such chemistry and respect for each other. I love Karl's jabs at how she is so unemotional and strictly to her detective work.

To be honest I don't think this was ever likely to go beyond 3 series so I'm just glad we will end up with one last installment.

I Don't think Brexit was ever a reason to not make a 3rd series given that the UK will still be a member of the EU until at least Spring 2019.

One of the articles seemed to suggest Series 3 will be broadcast later this year but I can't see us getting it that soon.

As far as I'm aware Clemence only gave birth a month or so ago, so doubt she will be ready for any filming until at least the spring.

I would then imagine that filming is going to take 4 or 5 months then there will be at least 3 or 4 months post production so can't see this being ready to air until at least this time next year with perhaps Spring 2018 a more realistic air date.

Series 2 filmed for 85 days and had 50 additional days for pre and post production but there was a more high concept idea with the plane crash. Series 3 only has 6 episodes rather than 8 and sounds like it will be more like the first series with Karl and Elise facing a criminal duo rather than a whole criminal network like in series 2.

If they start filming in April like they did for the previous season to allow Clemence some time to adjust to being a Mum. I guess it would take less time turn around in post production because there won't be extensive special effects work needed to create the plane crash which probably took up most of the time in post and the reduced number of episodes.

Peaky Blinders series 3 was filmed in just under 5 months then was in post and on screen 3 months after filming had ended. Since they both will have the same number of episodes I guess it could be possible that could be on the air by November or December.

Spring 2018 sounds about right. Stephen has been filming a few movies so his schedule would more likely be that senario.
