Coffee, tea or what?
Tea and coffee didn't come to England until the 17th century. So what was that in Elizabeth's cup?

I like your quote!
"The Mountain Has Wings"
The main drinks in the Tudor era were ale, cider, perry, mead and wine. It would most likely be one of those drinks that Elizabeth drank.
Actually they did drink "mulled" ale/wine/cider which was heated by dipping a hot poker into the mug. Typically this would be done during the cold months of autumn and winter.
