Holy crap, this show is going half-way Game of Thrones territory...

From being a simply semi-historical teen drama all the way to political deception and favourite character murder.

I just binged watched the last three episodes and the same thing crossed my mind. I'm disappointed at the lack of respect this show has for the acting, writing and directing. I hope that changes since this year's episodes were very powerful.

I think this show just needs a little bit bigger budget for season 4 and beyond, maybe make it just 12 episodes but with 60plus minutes running time.

Lola's execution seemed quite rushed, and weak because her husband is the Lord Chancellor of France, I don't think that would go well in real life. There wasn't even a trial.

Their so called "armies" are usually just a dozen or up to 40 men.

On the last episode, I was like, really, the King of France needs a Duke's help to muster what, 10 men? lolz.

And Queen Mary's mercenary company must have been just like 30-50 men, because they were on board on just one ship.

Its too bad that the show will have to follow a lot on history also because John Knox seems to be the kind of person that would already be dead within just two episodes, if Queen Catherine De Medici has anything to do about it.

My review, Season 1, was a "teen drama of the week" kind of season, ending with a powerful note.

Season 2, was fan-fiction was on crack, hated more than half of it, made people want the show to be cancelled.

Season 3, fixed a lot of the BS of season 2 and gave it new fandom. Because of Season 2, almost made people want to hate a lot on Queen Elizabeth. Until of course, the Mid-Season when it finally got more adult drama and enticing.

My biggest regret was that I should have just watched this show if it was already in season 4 or 5, because now I have to wait til next year to see what happens next.

Which will be a literal Game of thrones for the thrones of England and Scotland.

I can see why one would say it has been been Game of Thrones like with how this season has gone, and from history there will be more to come with Mary, Elizabeth and Catherine as well. If they get to this part, there is kind of a red wedding in France.

I really hope so, I'm a History teacher, but I have been in love with History since I was 10 or younger.

I really hope this show gets a bigger budget and becomes more serious in History with Drama :-).

Personally, the second season almost killed this show, luckily, the third season saved it.
