Why? ***Spoilers***

I get so pissed when I think about the fact that the man who was obsessed with Elizabeth killed her baby and she sent him away instead of having him beheaded. Meanwhile, Lola was somewhat a part of a plan to kill Elizabeth that didn't even work, and she got beheaded. She was practically Elizabeth's only friend, and she would always tell Lola that she admired how loyal she was to Mary. Not to mention, she had a 1 year old baby! WHY?
Does anyone agree? Probably not, but I'm just curious. What are your thoughts?

OMG that's so pretentious and bizarre that I wanna cry a little.

My thoughts are the things that I think that occur in my brain. These thoughts are shaped by my environment and by the how I was raised. However, there are many factors that shape the way I think that even if I lived the exact same way twice I may come away with different thoughts each time.

In conclusion, my thoughts are the result of the way I perceive reality and what conclusions I reach based on what I perceive. My thoughts are my individual perception of reality.

I don't think that's what the OP meant but thanks for trolling.

Anyhow, back to the OP's post....I am so sad Lola is gone. I wonder if the writers did that to her as a foreshadowing of Mary's fate. Considering what happened that is not really a surprise.

They killed Lola because they needed a pretense for why Mary seeks the english throne that causes her death. The real life Mary was power hungry and wanted England as her birthright, but the show changed that. So they needed another motivation and I think Lola's death was that as you see her telling Narcisse that she will go after England now as revenge.

This might be messed up of me but they keep talking about how Elizabeth was obsessed with power. It's possible that while a large part of her hated William for what he did, the calculating part of her recognized the merit in it, and cut him some slack for the fact that he did what she could not bring herself to do. I was actually waiting for Elizabeth to do it to herself. I figured she would follow in Catherine's footsteps and do whatever was necessary to maintain her power. I know it's messed up, but I think she's got it in her.

The man that killed her baby was William Cecil, Elizabeth'so former tutor and most trusted advisor who had been with her for many years. She couldn't just have him killed or executed without reason, and 'he killed my unborn baby' isn't exactly a great one for an unwed queen who's supposed to be a virgin. Lola on the other hand was a foreigner known to have close ties to an enemy queen and was very publicly arrested and accused. On top of that she even confessed to trying to kill the queen of England. By that point I think Elizabeth was backed into a corner, her courtiers would demand Lola's execution if she did not. I actually think that if Lola's arrest hadn't been so public or if she hadn't confessed to it then Elizabeth would have spared her and simply banished her or something but I don't think she had a choice. Try to kill a monarch in such a public fashion and there is only one punishment, Lola knew that going in.
