It comes back, as I hear, sometime in Spring. Some of those shows don't look promising and so if they have an early cancellation, we might see it sooner. I hope so!!!
I heard something about a January premiere but yes I hope Season 4 airs sooner than the scheduled date. It's the only show I watch on the CW (and on TV now).
I agree it will probably come out next year, between January and sometime in spring is a good guess. As what day of the week, I am not sure since they do keep changing the time slot. "Legends of Tomorrow," I believe still has a twelve episode season so Thursdays might be a possibility.
It's been renewed for the fourth season sometime in 2017 but there's a high chance it's going to be the last season since the ratings have been low :(. Personally, this show is the best I've ever seen.
Well, if they're following history at all, now that Mary's in Scotland, it's only a couple of seasons from the end of her career as Queen. And a couple more to the end of her life. So, maybe they've got plans to end it somewhere, if not happy, at least ambiguous. I'm going to miss Megan Follows' scheming Queen Catherine (she lived for years after Mary - maybe they could do a sequel about her raising her little kings? Or a parallel story - Catherine also came to the French court as a girl, but had a totally different upbringing - how about a show about a tougher young girl sent to marry a king?
When they killed off Francis I nearly stopped watching, but you have to admit the court intrigue in the palace is luscious to say the least. It's a delight to watch the blue bloods making fools, cons and whores out of themselves. And yet, they still practice the same ancient ways.
Mary lived nearly 20 years in captivity so they are no where near the end of her life. Although I would imagine her being captive wouldn't make for the most compelling television.
If, as they're currently doing, they just follow the bare outlines of history, and embroidery it heavily, they could pad it out. She lived in a fairly luxurious captivity, w. servants, and her own household. (Another strong female character, Bess of Hardwick) Lay in extra plots, and escape attempts, batting her eyelashes at every man who might help her, and efforts to gain the pity of her keepers, culminating in the Babington plot. The writers and producers could fill in the time. Final episode: Mary dying, Elizabeth freaking out at the death of another queen, and old Queen Catherine, in the distance, shaking her head at the foolishness of the young.
