An AMC show!?

I watched season one. It did not feel like an AMC show. It's surprisingly high quality for an AMC show. I'm not too familiar with AMC and what other shows they produce. Isn't AMC on regular cable (not extra charge like HBO etc?).

The quality of this show felt like HBO or Netflix quality, not AMC quality. By contrast, HBO's Watchmen felt like regular cable show quality.

HOW CAN YOU SAY IT "It did not feel like an AMC show. It's surprisingly high quality for an AMC show"? AND THEN SAY "I'm not too familiar with AMC and what other shows they produce."..

Clearly I'm not familiar with AMC shows because I don't know of any other good ones besides this one. It didn't feel like cable show quality.
