The Boss was #1 at the box office

The Boss beat out BVS.

reply

Yeah...by $45,000. That's not saying very much.

reply

Doesn't matter. At the Olympics in a race if you win by a milasecond you still get gold.

reply

But winning a gold metal at the Olympics actually means something where as BvS and The Boss fighting for the box office top spot for the weekend...not so much.

IMO, both movies look like pure garbage any way. Looking to see some real flicks.
Midnight Special, Eye in the Sky and 10 Cloverfield Lane look appealing to me.

reply

It says BVS is garbage.

reply

Didn't BVS open 2 weeks ago?

reply

I'd wait for the actuals first.

reply

Sadly, even though it barely made $24 million, that's probably enough to be profitable.

With ticket prices as high as they are, all it takes is one remotely popular star to draw in enough suckers to cover the production costs for a cheaply-produced dreadful movie.

reply

Just read that the Boss cost $29 m to make so they didn't even cover the production costs.

reply

The 23.5 million opening makes the film quite profitable so it will make back its 29 million production budget next week.

reply

The BvS Opening Weekend was $170.1 million. Shattered the record.

It's at over $600 million world wide right now.

What was your point again?

That's some heavy denial. The Boss is #1 at the box office, that's a FACT.

reply

Actually the Jungle Book is no. 1 and everybody stopped going to see this disaster

reply

Look at the date. This thread was made when The Boss was #1.

This weekend was another embarrassment for BvS as it was kicked out of the top 5 while The Boss is still ahead at #5.
