I don't quit understand what their purpose was to free the lion. If they're activists they would have to have known the lion would probably get hurt and if their intent was to kill the guy calling himself god, how would they know the lion would attack him.
I think they just wanted to punish the people on the boat for their behaviour. I don't think they were targeting "God" specifically. But I'm a little fuzzy as well as to who they are.
shareOne of the activists told Matt "you were right about what you said in there" (against the Frasier the lion cult) and warned him not to get off the boat when the boat docks. I don't think the activists were planning to attack God, it just happened that the lion had different ideas than the activists. They wanted to go after the members of the cult. But out of all the people there, lion decided to attack God. I suspect there's a biblical reference somewhere in this situation (lions and lambs?)
