Questions re Mary
Either I missed it, or it was never explained - or hasn't been up to "now," this being S2/E4 for me. How did Mary end up in her current condition, and what is it, exactly - catatonia, I guess?
Thanks.

On tthe day of the Sudden Departure, a driver disappeared from their car and it hit Matt and Mary's car, causing her current condition.
If you watch the very first scene of the show, with the woman in the parking lot whose baby disappears, Matt and Mary are actually part of the car crash which happens in the background.
Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I don't think Hugo can track anything.
Thanks!
shareHer condition makes no medical sense. She's supposed to be in a vegetative state but apparently is able to sit up in a minimally supportive wheelchair. Catatonia or maybe locked in syndrome might better explain it, though even locked in syndrome wouldn't explain her not needing more support to sit up like that.
shareExactly, it's BS. Sadly the critics and 'fans' of the show alike lap that kind of rubbish up and take it as a reasonable explanation.
shareha I like how you write 'fans' like that lol
I think it just adds to the mystery surrounding Miracle don't you think? Just like the audience, along with the show's characters, not knowing why 140m people disappeared. It adds to the general unease and mystery of the whole thing. Don't nit-pick, just let the existential mind-fkk of this show wash over you
Someone who disagrees with you is NOT a hater 😉
