ok it was driving me crazy thinking who he reminded me of, but don't you think John Slattery (Roger Sterling from Mad Men) could play his older brother???

Don’t see it; but Slattery kind of reminds me of a younger Scott Glenn...the actor who plays Kevin Garvey, Sr. on the show.
