In the episode "A Most Powerful Adversary"

After Kevin visits Laurie at the hotel how was he able to get Laurie into Jarden? Was that ever shown? And after Laurie proved to Kevin that Patty would stay away from him if Laurie was near him, why did Kevin, in the very next scene, go to Virgil for help even though he knew this would mean "dying?"

Okay I'm doing this from memory so... I think Kevin gets Laurie in because he lives there and can bring her in as a guest. He doesn't trust Laurie when she says patty will leave him alone.
Things to keep in mind - The name of the old man is Virgil and that name comes from Dante's Inferno. The characters Virgil is the guide who takes them through the levels of hell... Also keep in mind the bird that was buried in the the box for 3 days (Christ) and when dug up it was alive.... Hope this helps. It's my 2nd favorite show behind the Americans. Enjoy.

He got her in because there still legally married and she still carries the Garvey last name.
