So what now? I blasted through these two seasons. I never even would've head of this show it weren't for a recommendation in the Mr. Robot forum. Any other hidden gems like this out there?

That show was my first venture into diehard fandom. Til then, I wasn't much of a TV show watcher and didn't have any "must-see" shows.

While not necessariy similar in plot or tone, Twin Peaks is a show I'd defintley describe as "like" The Leftovers. Both shows are so quirky and out there and push boandries in the same ways. They were just made in two entirely different eras of television. Twin Peaks is like a twisted soap opera where The Leftovers is like a twisted prime time family drama, both with doses of quirkiness, surrealism, and weird supernatural elements that are abstract and unexplainable.

They are also my two favorite shows.

I watched a lot a series and don't think I ever watched another show like this. Probably the only show who brought as much emotion as this one is 6 feet under.
