Inconsistent chronology S2:E10 SPOILERS

Just finished watching the end of S2 and damn this show is amazing.

I noticed one thing that didn't make much sense though - at the opening of the episode, they show what happened on the night of the girls' disappearance from their perspective. Here's the chain of events from Evie's perspective:

- she leaves her dad's party, saying goodbye to everyone (Garveys included)
- they drive for a while
- they arrive at the lake and see Kevin standing with a brick, waiting to jump in

But during this time, from Kevin's perspective, he supposedly:

- went home
- went to sleep
- woke up and sleepwalked to Virgil's trailer and had a conversation about Patty
- left the trailer and walked over to the lake, finding a rope and a cinderblock
- watched the girls arrive at the lake and jumped in

So either Evie and her friends are very slow drivers, or Kevin is an extremely fast sleepwalker...

Thoughts?

Maybe the girls didn't go straight to the lake. It's possible that they could've drove around for awhile or gone to a party...typical high school stuff.

It's not inconsistent without knowing what the girls did in between.

I'd think you'd want to create the car set up much later rather than right after they left the party.

You'd want no witnesses, no early discovery of the vehicle, and some lead time to get away. That all works better if you wait until the early hours of the morning.

And we have an approximate time if you believe the clock on the tower works correctly. It's shown at the time of earthquake that saves Kevin. But I don't remember what it showed.
