When they're drinking on the beach and Noah tells Helen "I didn't even want Jodie"

That made me think that he told Helen what he had just found out so when the Attorney told Helen he suspected the baby could be Scotty's Helen actually knew that the baby might be Coles?

I'm not crazy M'Lynn, I've just been in a very bad mood for forty years.

No, when Helen took the pacifier in the present day, that was the first time she had considered that Joanie wasn't Noah's. Noah said that just to express that he didn't even want this family life with Alison. I fully believe he didn't tell Helen the full truth on that beach. Otherwise she would have known and would have told Noah's lawyer Gotfried instead of bothering with the pacifier.
