Noah is the most unlikeable piece of trash in television history

Let me preface by saying I'm just finishing season 1. But seriously, he's disgusting. At least Allison has some serious trauma that is causing her to disregard the feelings of everyone in her life with her actions. At least Allison doesn't have any children. But he has kids, has a ton of responsibilities, owes his wife his life essentially (he was a poor, wannabe writer) and he still blows his life up and hurts allll those people on a whim.

Like I said I'm only on season 2 but I seriously hope he dies. Will that feeling ever go away if I keep watching or should I go ahead and stop watching now? Like will he ever be given a redeeming quality?

Boom.

Keep watching.......and remember none of the POV's are 100% accurate. All of them remember how this all went down very differently.

OMG!!!!

I didnt see your thread when posting mine and it is also about how deeply I hate Noah Solloway!!! And believe me..its gets WORSE in season 2!!!!

No it won't go away. He is just the worst TV character ever created and I started to feel almost physically sick after a while when he appeared on screen (poor Dominic West, who probably is a decent guy and had to lend his face for this horrible fictional character..).

I mean, this kind of person probably really exists… which makes it even worse. I don't know anyone but given how many things in the world look nowadays their are plenty of 100% self-centered destructive people out there and we should all stop to glorify them.

Have you never watched The Apprentice?

And it's also why people quote others ... LOL

Carrie from Sex And The City still deserves that title. She's everything shallow and wrong with society. She has no redeeming qualities.
I don't like Noah at all and he would be high on the list of scum.

reply

keep watching but the feeling of hating him will not go away. I hate him too. he is a piece of *beep*

I've loved Dominic West till this series, which really ruined him, imho. The Uber graphic sex scenes of him were disgusting and unnecessary & stopped me from finishing the series. This product crossed the line in watchability, all for borderline porn. Why did Dominic agree to do this? Now I can't bear to each him in any production.

reply

yeah, the sex scenes are really too much.

reply

I agree. Noah is terrible. It drove me crazy seeing them so unconcerned about getting caught.

The POV's drive me crazy since they are so different. The season 1 finale was so different. Seriously how could they be so different?

reply

I could not agree more. He is disgusting. The way he tells his wife he loves someone else right after saying what a great mom she is is inexplicable. He seemed shocked she would be angry at him for continuing to lie and then screwing someone else in their bed.
He's a freaking idiot and so unlikable.

reply

I was just thinking the same thing.

I love Dominic West, but his character is so awful, so unlikeable. It's not the fact he's having an affair- it's how he treats everyone around him, his narcissism and the things he says. I can understand Alison and her feelings, and how a tragedy can change you and a relationship- hell, I've been there and had an affair that lasted 4 years (which ended terribly btw). The point is, it's hard to justify things from his point of view.

Did you miss the election campaign?

reply

Yeah, those CNN anchors really take the cake. I am not biased, now excuse me while I cry because Hillary lost.

People who find him unlikeable on this show of all shows clearly haven't seen enough shows with the most irredeemably horrible characters in history. If he's so unlikeable, then I guess those characters who really always rubbing in what scumbags they were and were never sorry about it don't qualify as detestable anymore. Joffrey Baratheon still stands as the most despicable of all and I wish he'd been tortured more for seasons to come. Noah isn't all that good and it's not easy to like what he's done, but he's at least someone who doesn't feel good about it. He's struggling with guilt, regret, bitterness, pain, and torment in his life like all the other characters and that's more humanity I can see in someone compared to a more vile character who just doesn't care how wrong he or she is, they just want to be hated and feel no regrets. I already feel House of Cards should end soon because how much more can I take of a scheming politician who manipulates, murders, and betrays his way up the ladder compared to this show where everyone is struggling with their choices and the consequences and how to live and learn from them.
