Ugh, this french chick......
What an annoying tw@t. Pretentious, desperate, apparently mentally imbalanced, and all about the prison D.

shareCome on, she just wants a little rough trade to round out her life. I think she got her accent from watching Pink Panther movies.
My Chimp DNA seems to have lost its password temporarily. Sluggr-2
LOL
She iz thee Cool Girl teacher, ca va? So continental and forward-thinking. Tres c~nt.
I don't like her either. What type of person is going to be attracted to someone like Noah, and find it a turn-on that he's a convict who basically raped his fiience? She finds it a turn-on that he's a convict and doesn't find anyone else there interesting? Yeah, okay. She's just an intellectual looking for a bag boy. Not interesting to me.
I may well be done with this series at this point. I enjoyed, for the most part, the first two seasons, and an sorry t o have lost interest, as there are so. Few shows thT interest me, other than superficially, I haven't seen anything in this preview of 3.1 to giv me reason to subscribe to Showtime again. There's nothing else on it I'm at all interested in watching.
why is any woman interested in Noah? I don't get it.
shareReally? I love her! Outspoken without being brazen or inconsiderate, graceful but with an adventurous perspective. She is just the kind of English professor I would love to have! I can't wait to learn more about her.

I think she is refreshing. I only wish she was a bit younger.
shareI was half expecting Inspector Clouseau to show up at the dinner table.
"Who committed zee rape? I suspect everyone....and I suspect no one!"
What happened to this show? The first few episodes depicting the actual affair were compelling. Now it's descended into melodrama and soap opera twists. Surprised there hasn't been a kidnapping and ransom yet.
For some reason she's uncredited but I noticed who she was, her name is Irene Jacob and some may know her from U.S Marshals. Was very beautiful in her younger days and still isn't bad for her age. Can't wait to see more of her and she wasn't a bit annoying to me.

Gary, it's very much like a soap opera. well done, but pretty over the top. I actually found myself laughing a couple of times. still, I watch...
shareShe knows he's packin 9"
shareI'm not even finished with the episode and I hate her so much.
shareThe French are much different in their attitudes than Americans. Many ppl who travel to France have much to say about them (and it isn't kind). The character may not be likable but I didn't find her so much different than others I know from her culture.
shareUm, yes, of course the "French are different in their attitudes than Americans." I don't think the OP is unfamiliar with the concept of France or the idea that French culture is different from US culture. The point is that the character is a stereotype, an overblown caricature of a "French woman" that one sees in simplistic films/shows (not to mention her rather absurd summations of courtly love -- as a medievalist it made me cringe -- but I realize that is what the actress has to say based on the script).
Frankly I think The Affair is a better show than this -- most of the characters are rich and three-dimensional and compelling. Hopefully this character develops into something more interesting than "I am zeeeee Fraaaaanch woman with very open ideas about sexuality -- sexy time all zeee time..." Yawn.
"Hearts and kidneys are tinker toys! I am talking about the central nervous system!"
I like her character better than the publicist.
