How is it that...
Oscar is the only one who seems to have made the connection between Allison's disappearance and her daughter turning 4 years old, the age her son was when he died?

shareWell they used to date. So he knows her pretty well.

Cole was married to her and suffered with her. It seems like he would have made the connection and cut her some slack.
shareI don't think she deserves slack. You don't get a break from being a parent no matter what you are going thru. Meaning, she could have at least kept contact with her daughter while she was getting help. She didn't.

Actually she couldn't . Not if she was lock in the mental Institution on lockdown. They are not allowed to have anything that they feel they can harm themselves with or harm others with so she would not have a cell phone to call ,nor a pen to write with. However they are allowed visitors, and depending on her condition, and the place that she is at (some are like prisons) they are allow to make a phone call.

I don't think it was stated that Cole didn't know. In fact, she said to him 'You know how hard it was for me...' or something along those lines. We were left in the dark, but it was insinuated Cole understood. That conversation with Oscar was important because it finally made it clear to us, the audience, why it was so hard for her.

Oscar always treads that line between being affable and creepily aware the other townsfolk's issues.
shareHe's an outsider looking in with a history will those involved. It's not so strange IMO
shareI actually really liked Oscar in this episode, but....who is Jenny?? I dont remember her being mentioned before!??
shareI don't know who Jenny is and I agree. This is the first time I've liked Oscar.
shareJenny must be Oscar's significant other, and I liked him too. He's always been in the grey area, floating to and from the darker to lighter sides.
I'll watch the episode again in about an hour, but if Joni's health scared Alison out of her mind, literally - especially around the anniversary of Gabriel's death - why didn't she take her to see a doctor? That's what I don't understand. She said she was sick for days and days, right? What kept her from doing for Joni what she wished she'd done for Gabriel?
"Leave me to do my dark bidding on the internet!"
I think Allison is not dealing with a full deck so I can accept when she acts irrationally.
shareOf course we could connect the dots that it's obviously his wife/gf
shareI also wondering why no mention of Alison taking her to the Dr. I would think that would be the first thing she would do and insist she be admitted especially since she was sick for so long. Doesnt make sense.
shareAllison does not at all strike me as someone who would do that. Allison escapes
