I think when the show started in 2014, it was supped to be the present. So if the current episodes are 5-6 years later (based on the age of the daughter), it is either in future, or the start time could retroactively be adjusted. 

When you keep track of the timeline, Noah's POV this season should take place in Fall 2021 and Alison's/Helens should've taken place in Fall 2020.
