Noah goes to jail for Alison

And she doesn't want to talk to him ever again?

reply

How did you come to the conclusion he did it for her?

reply

Then he did it for Helen. But still he could have said it was an accident when he was driving and SHE could have come forward and said she pushed him away because he was coming on to her. Noah saw Alison that day on the road.

It was all an accident. The truth would have probably never even had him charged. they both let him take the fall for an accident.

You make excellent and valid points. Although Alison pushed Scotty into the road, it was still an accident as you pointed out. She just wanted him off of her as he was trying to potentially rape her.

Helen was driving (because Noah couldn't and asked her to) and accidentally hit Scotty as she was distracted only because Noah was tenderly holding her hand. However, even if Helen wasn't drunk she would have hit Scotty given that Allison pushed him.

My point is they are all involved. Noah is a narcissist and I do not believe he confessed because he intended to spare Helen nor Allison. He wanted to relieve his own guilt. It's really that simple. Noah went to prison for Noah. He is a very selfish man that only thinks of himself at all times is you look at his behavior from the first episode until now.

I think he went to prison to atone, but that doesn't change the fact that he refused to:

1. Let Alison testify.
2. Turn in Helen.

Every viewer will interpret the characters for themselves. I don't believe that Noah "only thinks of himself at all times" and the writers don't either, but viewers obviously aren't obligated to see the characters in the way the writers intended.

So wouldn't this season be better if they delved into the psychology of why Noah confessed? Why bring in this Gunther and his prison story line... it is a distraction.

reply

Yea prison story isn't necessary
