That...that's it?

I've been rude a few times to people on here while defending S3 (I apologize again) but now I'm beginning to feel like the hate is justified.

Only one of the 4 core characters in the season finale?

I feel like the writers are laughing behind our backs.

It was a weird finale. I mean I think we see things coming back together for Noah so they're setting him up to screw it up again, probably by telling the cabbie to take him to montauk but I enjoyed this season overall. Think they should have had ep 9 be the finale, thought it was excellent.

reply

I would think he would go to a local hotel. He has skiing The next day and Montak is a few hours away.

reply

I think the pause in the cab was just Noah contemplating, Where do I go from here? As in, healing with his family feels foreign. Not saying he couldn't go off in a "negative" direction, but I just think he was taking stock.

reply

hopefully he leaves his family for good, and that's the last we see of the other 3 core characters, being that none of them were in the finale. This could be a transitional season, sorta looked that way, making way for more Juliette, Gunther, and Audrey next season. And maybe some more new characters, the three Sarah introduced this season were all awesome!, can't wait to see what she does next season.

You see the destruction that she-beast laid? I'm being risk-averse, considering.

reply

Gunther? Why would you want to see more of Gunther? Now that Noah seems to be out of that dark place and back to his right mind, it would seem strange to bring back Gunther.

reply

he was strange in the first place, wouldn't mind seeing his character as being core to the show now, but who knows with this show, the characters they made this season were all so unusual.

reply

haha I always thought there was something weird about those previously on recap sequences that never happened. that's awesome.

More Alison telling people she's reconciled with the past? More Helen rejecting her parents and confessing she killed Scottie? More Cole and Luisa breaking up and getting back together? Nothing left to do with those characters, time to take Noah who started The Affair in a new direction...

Something like Noah having an all new affair after things get even more serious with Juliette? No thanks. Whatever new direction happens on here the current writers are likely to botch it. Noah didn't start the affair alone as it takes two to tango.
